Let's Plant Trees Together!

As an herbalist and green/kitchen witch, the environment has always been something I am very passionate about. Our Mother Earth has given us a place to live, a way to sustain ourselves, and everything we need to stay healthy and happy. I am a huge advocate for reforestation and planting trees where they are needed. I tend to my garden and I make sure to give back to the earth for it has given me so much.

With this idea of a better tomorrow, I know we need to take action now to replenish our earth before it is too late. When I founded Cauldron Emporium I knew I wanted to do more than spread my knowledge of herbalism and natural living. I want to make a difference and help others make a difference as well.

I have partnered up with One Tree Planted to reforest our world.

Here is how it works:
  • Every sale above $10 will plant at least one tree! (in-person or online)

  • If you want to make the biggest impact possible, shop the One-for-One category where each item purchased plants one tree!

    • Purchasing items in this category that are in other sections of the online store will still donate one-for-one trees :) I just made a section where it would be easy to find the one-for-one items without having to search too much.

My goal is to plant at least 8,000 trees this year and I know together we can do it.

All trees planted this year will be in North America including Canada, USA, and Mexico.

Since their establishment, they have been dedicated to making it easier for both individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity, and help reforestation efforts.

Trees have a wide range of benefits. One Tree Planted focuses on what they call the 6 Pillars of Reforestation to explain why trees are important:

  1. Air - Trees help to clean the air we breathe. Through their leaves and bark, they absorb harmful pollutants and release clean oxygen for us to breathe.

  2. Water - Trees play a key role in capturing rainwater and reducing the risk of natural disasters like floods and landslides.

  3. Biodiversity - A single tree can be home to hundreds of species of insect, fungi, moss, mammals, and plants.

  4. Social Impact - From arborists to loggers and researchers, the job opportunities provided by the forestry industry are endless. We don’t just rely on trees for work, though. Sustainable tree farming provides timber to build homes and shelters, and wood to burn for cooking and heating. Food-producing trees provide fruit, nuts, berries, and leaves for consumption by both humans and animals, and pack a powerful nutritional punch.

  5. Health - It’s impossible to ignore that feeling of elation you get while walking through a calm, quiet forest. Trees help reduce stress and anxiety, and allow us to reconnect with nature.

  6. Climate - Trees help cool the planet by sucking in and storing harmful greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide into their trunks, branches, and leaves — and releasing oxygen back into the atmosphere.

I believe all of these are imperative factors to our human existence and cohabiting the earth so I am proud to support One Tree Planted and their efforts to reforest the earth.

If you would like to help plant trees directly, I would encourage you to visit OneTreePlanted.org and make a donation :)
